Happy New Year

Hey all. Happy New Year, I saw a girl's youtube video about the new year (among other things) and one thing that stood out to me was the "constructive criticism." I.E. You're ugly, you talk too much, etc.

A wise woman (I believe it was the comic artist Ami-chan) once said, "Take the flamers with the lovers, because obviously if they took time to flame you, they took time to look at your stuff." And honestly, we put ourselves out there to be viewed by others. People aren't always going to think the best of us, what matters is what we think of ourselves and what matters even more is what God thinks of us.

I read this beautiful note once and it was compiled entirely of bible verses and this is what it said:

MY CHILD . . .

You may not know me, but I know everything about you. Psalm 139:1

I know when you sit down and when you rise up. Psalm 139:2

I am familiar with all your ways. Psalm 139:3

Even the very hairs on your head are numbered. Matthew 10:29-31

For you were made in my image. Genesis 1:27

In me you live and move and have your being. Acts 17:28

For you are my offspring. Acts 17:28

I knew you even before you were conceived. Jeremiah 1:4-5

I chose you when I planned creation. Ephesians 1:11-12

You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book. Psalm 139:15-16

I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live. Acts 17:26

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14

I knit you together in your mother's womb. Psalm 139:13

And brought you forth on the day you were born. Psalm 71:6

I have been misrepresented by those who don't know me. John 8:41-44

I am not distant and angry, but am the complete expression of love. 1 John 4:16

And it is my desire to lavish my love on you. 1 John 3:1

Simply because you are my child and I am your Father. 1 John 3:1

I offer you more than your earthly father ever could. Matthew 7:11

For I am the perfect father. Matthew 5:48

Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand. James 1:17

For I am your provider and I meet all your needs. Matthew 6:31-33

My plan for your future has always been filled with hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Because I love you with an everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3

My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore. Psalms 139:17-18

And I rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

I will never stop doing good to you. Jeremiah 32:40

For you are my treasured possession. Exodus 19:5

I desire to establish you with all my heart and all my soul. Jeremiah 32:41

And I want to show you great and marvelous things. Jeremiah 33:3

If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me. Deuteronomy 4:29

Delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

For it is I who gave you those desires. Philippians 2:13

I am able to do more for you than you could possibly imagine. Ephesians 3:20

For I am your greatest encourager. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

I am also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you. Psalm 34:18

As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart. Isaiah 40:11

One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes. Revelation 21:3-4

And I'll take away all the pain you have suffered on this earth. Revelation 21:3-4

I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus. John 17:23

For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed. John 17:26

He is the exact representation of my being. Hebrews 1:3

He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you. Romans 8:31

And to tell you that I am not counting your sins. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you. 1 John 4:10

I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love. Romans 8:31-32

If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me. 1 John 2:23

And nothing will ever separate you from my love again. Romans 8:38-39

Come home and I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen. Luke 15:7

I have always been Father, and will always be Father. Ephesians 3:14-15

My question is…Will you be my child? John 1:12-13

I am waiting for you. Luke 15:11-32

Love, Your Dad. ALMIGHTY GOD

I just absolutely love this compilation. It's so very beautiful!

Next time someone is mean to you by saying cruel things, think about what God thinks about you. If the King of the GALAXY/UNIVERSE thinks you're amazing, then what does it matter what julie499 or Pransy Pushknocker thinks?

Have a happy new year, everyone! God bless!

Ten daily things that will make you happier (and healthier).

1. Wake up Early: This gets the day off to a great start. Once you get the hang of waking up early at the same time you will wake up naturally and feel much more well rested.

2. Sweat Everyday: Excercise in some form is excellent for your body, doing this everyday will make you feel healthier.

3. Daily Prayer: Prayer is healthy for both your spiritual and physical well being. <3

4. Spend Time is Nature: Nature is a great help to spiritual connection. Also being outside allows you to breathe better and think clearer. :]

5. Complete Your Daily Affairs: Don’t procrastinate, do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. I know this is one of the things I struggle with the most. It's easy to procrastinate, but it's much more rewarding, in the long run, to do what you need to do when you need to do it.

6. Spend Some Time Alone: Take time out of your day to be alone is very healthy. When I say alone I mean no entertainment, just sitting, thinking, and relaxing (don't fall asleep). Use this time to stretch and breathe.

7. Do Your Daily Accounting at the End of the Day: A wonderful thing to do while spending alone time is to sit and reflect on your day. Reflect on the good and the bad. Recognise what things have made you happy. Make it a point to do these more often.

8. Do at Least One Good Deed: Do at least one thing for someone else without having to be asked; whether it's shoveling someone's driveway or giving your friend a compliment about her new hair cut. Make it a point to do something nice for someone else. Being selfless is one of the things God asks us to do and when you're doing something for someone else you'll probably be surprised how much better you'll feel.

9. Get Some Entertainment: Entertainment is important and you'll find that if you work hard during the day, once you get to sit down and really, fully enjoy your entertainment, it will be much more exciting and entertaining. :]

10. Do Something Difficult: You need a challenge every day. Whether it's something small like drinking more water, or big, like adding 10 more sit ups to your work out each day, make sure you have a challenge for yourself. Having a challenge will make you feel more accomplished and rewarded. <3

Always winter but never Christmas

It's always nice to look out the window
And see those very first few flakes of snow
And later on we can go outside
And create the impression of an angel that just fell from the sky

When February rolls around I'll roll my eyes
Turn a cold shoulder to these even colder skies
And by the fire my heart it heaves a sigh
For the green grass waiting on the other side

It's always winter but never Christmas
It seems this curse just can't be lifted
Yet in the midst of all this ice and snow
Our hearts stay warm cause they are filled with hope

It'd be so nice to look out the window
And see the leaves on the trees begin to show
The birds would congregate and sing
A song of birth a song of newer things

The wind would calm and the sun would shine
I'd go outside and I'd squint my eyes
But for now I will simply just withdraw
Sit here and wish for this world to thaw

And everything it changed overnight
This dying world you brought it back to life
And deep inside I felt things
Shifting everything was melting
Away oh away
And you gave us the most beautiful of days

Cause when it's always winter but never Christmas
Sometimes it feels like you're not with us
But deep inside our hearts we know
That you are here and we will not lose hope

Pet peeves

I think my biggest pet peeve is people who are hypocrites. I really, really dislike hypocrites. I cannot understand how people manage to be so stuck on themselves that they are exempt from their own rules. Don't fly off the handle at me for kissing a guy after a date when you've done a lot worse with a "boyfriend". Don't give me grief for being human when you are human yourself. Don't tear me down about my past just cos you can't get any action. That's your choice.

It's frustrating. If you're going to "throw the first stone" you better be totally blameless. Seriously, don't chew me out when you do worse. It's one thing to admit what you do is wrong and suggest that I not follow your path; it's another thing to bite my head off because I did something once that you do daily.

Lay off and get over yourself. Good grief.

P.S. Merry Christmas

trial

Okay, I am trying to find a convenient way to post posts that are
longer than 140 charachters or 1 text message, because it's massively
frustrating to get on blogger and see my message put into two posts.
It's infuriating, so I am trying via mobile email to see if this
sucker works. K thanks.

It's Christmas Eve

Woohoo!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.
And Mama in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.

When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

"Now Dasher! Now Dancer!
Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid!
On, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away!
Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
so up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
with the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
the prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
and he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes--how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
that shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
and I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
and filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Yo protesto...

"I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed, or worse, expelled!"- Hermione Granger

I'm going to bed before I kill a poor innocent bystander. I have no desire to kill anyone, but at this point I am two millimeters from snapping and going postal. Yuck. I cannot wait for Christmas break! Thank God for such a lovely thing!

Creepy Candy

Mario Star for the Win!

oh blue skies...

If only I were green,
like pickeled pixie dust.
Cos then I'd sprout wings,
and flying would be a must.

Oh scribblenauts, oh scribblenauts, you're one of the coolest games ever. Best 20 bucks I've spent in a while. That game is so super awesome cool, it's insane. It's a good solid puzzle game that's just so much fun you can't help but to be in L-O-V-E. That game is awesome... speaking of the game. :D Sorry, I know, the game is so over, but it still amuses me how people re-act to it. :]

Haha. Well anyway, thought I would scribble some thoughts, toodles for now. :]

Love always,
